Bicycle tires
In many ways, bicycle tires are similar to tires on cars and other
vehicles. When there is a certain amount of wear, you need to change
the tires. The difference, however, is that there are many types of
bicycle tires and it depends on what kind of tire you have when it comes
to making changing decisions.
For example, the wear on the tire of a mountain bike is something that
is usually pretty obvious. A mountain bike tire – when new –
should have a lot of tread on it that will allow you to go up and down
mountains and over rocks and sticks easily. If this tread is getting
to the point where it begins to look smooth, then it is probably time
to go for a change.
As for racing bikes, the bicycle tires are certainly different. These
bikes require thinness and virtually no tread. The way to tell when
these tires need replaced is by the color of the tire. If it is turning
from black into a whitish or grayish color in certain areas, it is probably
time to make a change.
Bicycle tires are important items to check up on. Bad tires could be
disastrous for you.
